The delights of the outdoors are among the deepest, most passionate joys of childhood.
'As the years pass, I have developed the ability to create an outdoor classroom that holds an evolving curriculum. When young people and children respond to interests and discoveries, I grasp the moment with open arms to teach new skills and techniques, encourage discovery and questioning and inspire them to love the outdoors.'
Outdoor School is a place where everyone can be themselves.
Since that first summer of 2004, 'Outdoor School' has established many supporting programmes for children aged between four to eighteen years old, including outdoor learning, outdoor school, night owls, poltair outdoors and around the world.
'The Outdoor School that Helen Blackburn has led has been a revelation - it has taught children to respect and appreciate the joys of the countryside while gaining confidence in their own abilities. The difference from indoor based learning was incredible.
