Blisland Primary School
Blisland School prides itself in providing the best possible start for its pupils. We do this through ensuring each child learns the skills required to live a fulfilling life. A key element of these skills is physical education and having the ability to achieve goals in the real world whether it is climbing a mountain or swimming a stream. We also highlight the essential nature of teamwork and enforce the need to be physically fit.
Blisland School is situated on the edge of Bodmin Moor and benefits from a rural setting. Although our size is small we more than make up for this in determination and heart in sporting events. This galvanises a competitive spirit in the children that serves them well in later life.

St. Tudy School is a small, village school situated between Bodmin, Wadebridge and Camelford. It is a friendly school, noted for it's caring, family atmosphere. At present there are 55 children aged between 4 and 11. Despite the relatively small number on roll and the fact that there are only 3 teachers, the school excels at sporting events. There are a wide range of activities offered both during PE sessions and at lunchtime and after school clubs. We are lucky to have keen Teaching Assistants who run sporting clubs. We also have visiting coaches for extra input. In the past year the children have taken part in two local football and netball leagues, a variety of cross country runs (including representing North Cornwall at the County run at Newquay), a dance platform and Bodmin College festivals. Water sports is a popular choice when on school camp, as is archery and rock climbing and all the Key Stage 2 children enjoyed a surfing lesson at the end of year beach trip. We are especially pleased that the number of children taking part in extra curricular activities
